Suspension

The university of Oregon suspended it's star senior running back, LaGarrette Blount for the rest of the season after punching one of Boise State's defensive ends in the jaw following their loss to the Broncos. I beleive that the punishment in this case was fitting seeing as how the university has given him numerous chances to clean up his act. As an NCAA player on a premier team it is the player's responsibility to keep a cool head and set a good example. If a player does anything short of this, I don't think they deserve to represent their team or their school.

  1. I agree with the fact that he should be suspended, but look on the other side. He was a senior, had potential to be a 1st round draft pick, and started on the team for a couple of years. Also, I believe that was his first offense on or off the field. Correct me if I'm wrong! He should defiantly be suspended, but i would say for half or three fourths of the season. The whole season is pretty rough, especially being a senior. The event that really took the idiot over the edge was threatening the fans after the game. It was almost a "Ron Artest" scandal. Oh well, good thing I'm not an Oregon fan because then I would be really ticked about the suspension. Go Notre Dame! haha
