War in Afghanistan
What are your thoughts on the war in Afghanistan? Are we winning? Losing? Should we even be there? In a recent poll taken by CNN, only 31% of Americans beleive the U.S. is winning the war in Afghanistan. 47% of Americans are in favor of the war. The recession, war fatigue, and frustration are all reasons for Americans to be wary about the war. Do you support it? I guess it just depends on close to home it hits for you.

I'm completely against the war because as you said it depends how close to home it hits for you. I have 4 cousins oversees right now, and have been against the war since day one.
ReplyDeleteNo one wants another Vietnam, and I would say I feel some fatigue with this. but consider this: this is not a convential war with opposing front lines. this is something entirely new. It's hit and miss pockets of resistence, and we're fighting a relatively small number of extremist who have prepared themselves since the soviet expulsion for this fight. My question is how can you be against this from day one... may i please roll the footage of those planes crashing into those buildings... It's a new age and a new fight, something that isn't pretty and easy to get done. We're simply fighting an ideology, the same ideology that planned and carried out harm to us on our own soil.
